Jameson applauds Democrats on the Federal Budget, Other Victories.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Congressman Theodore C. Jameson applauds the efforts from the Democratic Party on Capitol Hill as the Budget moves to a vote. The Budget faced several Republican Amendments and the Democrats were successful in shooting each of the amendments down. Congressman Jameson called the President’s Budget “a relief for the Midwest” for its focus on many key areas. The Federal Budget focuses on helping the middle class, energy independence, enabling rural America, and building strong educations. The Republican Amendments would have eliminated key pieces of the President’s budget, added unnecessary and unwelcome items onto the budget appropriations, caused a government shutdown, as well as unbalancing the perfectly balanced Budget. It was fiscally irresponsible and fiscally nonconservative, two things that Congressman Jameson does not agree on. Sparks have flown on the hill the past few days between a filibuster in the Senate and a bitter partisan Budget debate in the House, while ANWR was a fight within itself in the Science, Health, Education, and Environment Committee. Congressman Jameson announces that the Democrats are expected to win all the battles going on within the area of Capitol Hill and bring relief to the American People, as promised.
